Yato leaned against a tree, pulling up his fluffy scarf and sticking his hands in his pockets. The white, bandage looking tendrils on the end of his sword swayed in the breeze where the handle emerged from his sheath.

Rapunzel clutched her books to her chest as a strong gust of wind ran through the courtyard causing pieces of her hair to free themselves from the loose bun on top of her head and move right into her point of vision. The now mess of hair covering her face caused her to sidestep off of the sidewalk and straight into the oak tree that sat as a divider between each part of campus. "Oww..." she cried quietly, trying to push the hair out of her face without dropping her books.

Yato looked up in surprise. "Are you okay miss?" He asked, wandering over, head tilted to the side.

"Yea I just..." Rapunzel trailed off still trying to fix her hair "Here, hold these" she said abruptly and she shoved her books out into the open and waited for the strange voice to grab them.

Yato hastily took the books, one somehow flipping itself so it was nestled in his scarf.

Rapunzel rushed out a quick "thank you" as she tried to wrangle her hair in with the wind. Finally she was able to remove her bun completely and settle for a (less cute) high ponytail. She looked up at her helper and gave the boy an exasperated smile, taking her books back from him, awkwardly taking the one from inside his scarf with a giggle "Thank you! Sometimes my hair just... gets away from me."

He smiled back, straightening his fluffy fluff where the book had messed it up. "Always happy to help," Yato chirps. "I'm Yato, reincarnated god of war!" He flashed his best winning smile at her.

"War you say?" she smiles sweetly at him "I am Rapunzel, reincarnated goddess of the moon" she said, stretching her arm out stiffly to give him an awkward handshake.

"Sorry I shoved my books at you..." She said with a little flush in her face "I get a little intense when I am aggravated" she laughed awkwardly and hugged her books closer to her chest.

"Luckily this all landed me where I actually wanted to be!" She said with a grin "This tree seems to be perfectly symmetrical which is genetically improbable leading me to believe it was grown using some sort of magical force, so I am here to investigate" she said with a wink and a thumbs up "Oh! But if you were sitting here i don't want to bother you.. Sorry I can get a little overzealous sometimes. I could come back later if you would like" she proposed.

"Yes! Just look!" She said closing one eye and sticking her thumb up to separate to two halves of the tree in her vision.

Yato wandered back, squinting at the tree as she'd divided it. "Whoa, that's weird."
