Yato pouted. "Oh just wait, given some time I'll be very popular!" He flashed a confident smile.

"You are standing in the middle of the courtyard alone with a geek" she giggled "You aren't making a very good start at this 'popularity' thing"

[Seph|Yato|Sandy|Tooth]

Yato reached out and ruffled her hair, figuring that was safe now since her hair was up now. "I'll make it work," he teased, sticking his tongue out.

[Mako|Rapunzel|Eris]

"Hey!" She said with a laugh, reaching up to touch her hair "you have to ask the cutie before you touch the booty!...." She paused for a moment, her face turning red "wait a minute..." she said, ducking her head a little and removing her hands from her head "T-that's not the right comeback for this situation..." she cursed her sheltered upbringing for stunting her social skills so much.

Yato laughed good naturedly. "Alright cutie, I won't touch the hair again," he said, holding up his hands in the universal I surrender pose.

[Mako|Rapunzel|Eris]

"Good" she said, smiling a little again "This hair is very important! It is magic you know" she raised her hand in the air and pointed her index finger as a sign of matter-of-factness.

Yato put on his serious face, nodding. "I understand." He grinned at her.

[Mako|Rapunzel|Eris]

Rapunzel smiled smugly and turned around quickly so that the end of her hair hit Yato gently on the face "Soooo" she continued, grinning wider "I am going to try and make contact with the being inside of the tree"

Yato sputtered in surprise when her hair went in his face, but he got his composure back quickly, going to look over her shoulder at the tree.

[Mako|Rapunzel|Eris]

Rapunzel flipped through some pages in an old maroon book she had until she finally reached her bookmark "but first, I am going to need some supplies" she said "a branch from the lowest hanging limb on the tree, a blade of grass that grows above the trees strong roots, and a lot of time and patients to get the mix just right" she said, paraphrasing from the book.

"Want me to help?" Yato asked eagerly.

[Mako|Rapunzel|Eris]

Rapunzel's mouth opened with a gasp of excitement "Yes please!" She said looking back at him "Could you please help me find the lowest hanging limb? A lot of these look pretty low..."

"Yes m'am!" Yato replied with a playful salute, walking over and examining the branches closely.

[Mako|Rapunzel|Eris]

Rapunzel sat her books down on the sidewalk and walked over to the base of the tree, getting on her knees to examine the grass "It says the ritual requires a blade of grass just above the roots... but how do I know where the roots are..." she pondered "Well, it does say there will be lots of trial and error so I will just get lots and lots of grass!" she said as she began to pluck blades of grass from different parts around the tree, scooting on her knees to get every side until she accidentally bumps into Yato's legs "Oh! I'm sorry" she laughs "I was a little to interested in this grass..."

Yato yelps, grabbing a branch so he doesn't topple over backwards on top of her. "S'okay," he says, grinning awkwardly as he gets back upright. "And the branches take some figuring out too," he says, getting down so he can look better at which come down lowest.
