"I know right!" Rapunzel said, perking up before launching her face into one of her many books "I didn't know much about magic before coming here, but the library in this place is amazing! There are all sorts of books on this kind of thing! Apparently, magical trees can appear as ladders between worlds, or even as the physical forms of supernatural beings!" She said, pointing to a picture or an archaic looking tree on the dusty page of the book.

"Wait, so a tree could be a person?!" Yato said in surprise.

[Mako|Rapunzel|Eris]

"Possibly!" Rapunzel perked up "I have speculated that if that were the case, it would probably be some kind of dryad- oh um.. tree nymph!" She said with a smile, realizing that dryads aren't exactly well-known "I don't think it would be a specific god or goddess because usually those have enough power to release themselves from their inanimate forms, like my ancestor! She was the literal moon, until she fell in love with a human and- ahh sorry, I am rambling..." She said, bowing her head sheepishly.

Yato chuckled, folding his arms behind his head. "So, do you think it's a tree nymph then?"

"Yes!" Rapunzel said with a little hop "... Or a portal to another realm, but that would be boring because none of us could enter it anyways" she said with a dull frown

"Eh, why not?"

"Well..." Rapunzel paused, opening up a new book and flipping through a few pages "According to what I have read.." she ran her finger down a page as if searching for a word "it says here that 'all research suggests that godly descendants are just shells containing their previous souls. Earthly bodies are like a piece of rubber not allowing an intense electrical current to pass through." Rapunzel skimmed the page down a few paragraphs "yadda yadda yadda" she said softly "Oh! Here it is! 'in order for a godly descendant to unleash his or her god status they must die a heroic death, causing their human bodies to become denigrated and reformed upon resurrection turning it into an ethereal body.' so basically" she explained "at the moment, we have god powers, but we are just humans until our death proves us worthy, and only gods can pass through portals" she frowned, furrowing her brow.

Yato blinked owlishly at the page as he processed that. "They set the bar pretty high to get in don't they?"

"If all this information is true then... yea" she said softly with a forced laugh as she closed her books "it slightly worries me because... what happens when we graduate? How come we have never heard of gods before this camp was set up? I mean, surely one of the previous graduates would have said SOMETHING by now.." she trailed off.

Yato waved his hand dismissively. "You're over thinking things Punzie!" He said, stopping himself from considering the implications himself.

Rapunzel's expression softened as she spurted out a laugh "Punzie?" she grinned

Yato grinned back. "Seemed like a good nickname for you, neh?"

"Never heard that one before" she giggled "most people just call me Blondie" she rolled her eyes "Punzie is a welcome change!"

Yato gave her a playful grin. "Well, I'm glad to be the one to coin your new nickname! Just wait, I bet it will be super popular." He winked at her.

Rapunzel raised an eyebrow at him, but was still smiling "something tells me nether of us have the popularity to make that happen" she chuckled.
